FabTab not showing the content of the System.Windows.Forms.RichTextBox control in a WindowsFormsHost

Apr 15, 2011 at 11:47 AM

I found this control is useful and using it to our project.

The tooltip of the tab is great! But at the time of using it I found some problem regarding the tool tip.

Problem : FabTab not showing the content of the System.Windows.Forms.RichTextBox control in a WindowsFormsHost container in tab's tool tip.

Can any one please let me know, how to do this.

="Auto">

<DockPanel LastChildFill

="True">

<WindowsFormsHost

>

<wf:RichTextBox WordWrap="False" ScrollBars="ForcedBoth" x:Name

="rtbCode" />

</WindowsFormsHost

>

</DockPanel

subimal,

Yeah, WinForms content doesn't play very well with FabTab because it takes RenderTargetBitmaps of the FabTab's content and WinForms content doesn't show up in that.

Some of FabTab's users have gotten it to work to some extent though, so page through the discussions about hosting WebBrowser control (which is WinForms) in FabTab.

Does the RichTextBox's content show up on the "ContentTab"?  Is there any particular reason you are using the WinForms control rather than the free open source WPF one that the Extended WPF Toolkit provides?

Thanks,

Josh
